James has been a member and Chief Instructor for MSR Houston from almost the beginning. He has been appointed as General Manger but continues as Chief Instructor. James is also an active SCCA National Club Racer in multiple classes.
Sydney has been with MSR Houston since 2007, starting out first as an instructor and then joining the track full time doing marketing and public relations. She continues to instruct and manage the schools. Sydney is also an active SCCA National Club Racer in E Production.
Wes is an instructor (in both the classroom and on-track) at MSR Houston, where he has been a member since 2005. He has been competing in SCCA club racing events since 1989 in both open-wheel and closed-wheel classes. Wes is an active national competitor in Formula Ford.
Michael is a founding member and joined the staff in 2007. He oversees the operations of the facility and building construction, and is a racing instructor. Michael has won national championships on two wheels, and currently is participating in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama series with a win in 2011 at Petit LeMans.
Austin has been instructing with MSR Houston since 2009. He is an accomplished SCCA National Club Racer and currently competes in E Production with a Mazda RX-8. Austin is also a graduate of MSR Houston’s Competition License School.
Richard has been instructing with MSR Houston since 2011. He is an accomplished SCCA Solo racer and has recently moved over to SCCA Club Racing competition. Richard is the first one to volunteer to jump in a car and ride right-seat, so stop by and offer him a ride.
Chad started racing with Skip Barber and has since participated in SCCA, NASA, HSR and PCA events across the country. He uses his experience from tracks such as Laguna Seca and Sebring for both private and corporate instruction.
After spending 32 years in law enforcement, Sgt. Ken Hiebert retired from the Texas DPS to take up track driving and racing. He can thank us for that. Ken specialized in basic driving instruction for recruits and advanced driving instruction for veteran troopers. He now brings that knowledge and structure to MSR Houston students.
Our group of Teen Driving School Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences to help educate the up and coming drivers the nuances of driving on the road safely. These volunteers donate their time to help maximize the driving education of our Teen Driving School participants.
